チェンマイ発のカラフル食器／colorful tableware from Chiang Mai

タイのチェンマイ発の雑貨ブランド『ジンジャー』をガーニープラザのパークソンで発見。食器以外にもクッションやバッグ等もありました。これまではタイに行った時にしか買えなかったけれど、これからはペナンでも入手できますね。

GINGER is an Asia-Scandinavian lifestyle brand from Chiang Mai, Thailand. And no products available so far in Malaysia. However, I found them at Parkson department store at Gurney Plaza, in Penang! There are colorful tableware, cushions, and bags etc...These items are available even in Penang from now on.

イポーヘドライブ／drive to Ipoh

車の練習がてらイポーヘドライブ。
I went for a drive to Ipoh with my family, and practiced driving as well.

ペナン未出店の吉野家でランチしました。

We had beef bowls for lunch at Yoshinoya, which is a Japanese fast food chain and not yet opened in Penang.

イポーには素敵な雑貨屋があって羨ましい。なんでペナンには無いんだろう。。。

What a lovely shop! Why don`t they open in Penang? I`m so jealous...

風船／balloon

風船を膨らませようとヘリウムガス缶を探していたけど、どこにも売っていなかった。どうやらマレーシアではバルーン専門店やパーティーグッズショップで風船を買うと、もれなくお店のボンベで膨らませてもらえる仕組みのようです。だから売ってないのです。また一つ異文化を学びました。

I have been looking for a helium gas can to inflate my balloons, but I have not found it anywhere. In Malaysia, when you buy no-air balloons at balloon shop or party supply shop, they may inflate them by their helium gas cylinder. That`s why no gas can is available in Malaysia. I learned a different culture through this experience.

三輪車屋さん＠Lebuh Kimberley／tricycle shop@Lebuh Kimberley

トイザらスで手押し棒付き三輪車を探していたら、「ジョージタウンにもっと安くて種類豊富なお店があるよ」と見知らぬローカルのおじさんが教えてくれました。お店の名前はSyarikat Teik Sengと言って、Lebuh KimberleyとJalan Sungai Ujongの交差する角にあります。 

 When I was looking for a tricycle with a push handle at ToysRus, an unknown local man said to me, "there is a tricycle shop that has a wider and cheaper selection of tricycles in Georgetown. Let you know the place". The shop name is Syarikat Teik Seng located at the the junction of  Lebuh Kimberley and Jalan Sungai Ujong.

3度目のミカサ食器セール／the third time to visit Mikasa warehouse sales

かれこれ3度目のミカサ食器セールへ行ってきました（前回の記事→☆）。無地のお皿が多い中、今っぽいデザインのお皿を発見。

When I went to Mikasa warehouse sales, I found modern design plates among plain plates.

上記のお皿等、全部で47RM（1500円弱）でした。次回セールは12／4〜7です。

That was my third time to enjoy shopping at affordable price. I bought these plates including the above plates for only RM47. They are going to have a next sale 4/Dec/2015 to 7/Dec/2015.

ロゴスホープ号／floating book fair, Logos Hope

ペナンに寄港中のロゴスホープ号のブックフェアへ行ってきました。

I went to the floating book fair, Logos Hope, which has dropped anchor in Penang.

お手頃価格の本が5000種類以上も揃っていました。

There were a selection of over 5,000 titles at affordable prices.

 特に絵本コーナーはどれも欲しくなるようなラインナップで選ぶのに一苦労。娘は真剣に立ち読みならぬ座り読み。

I had a hard time to choose some books I really wanted to buy because every books for baby & kid attracted me. My daughter was browsing books in earnest.

船内カフェで買った塩味ポップコーンがやたら美味しかった。

There was a cafeteria inside Logos Hopes. Its salty popcorn was really nice!

双子の出産祝い／baby gift for twin girls

ニュージーランドで女の子の双子を出産した友達に手作りのベビー服を贈りました。花柄の生地は履かなくなったスカートをリメイク。

One of my old friends is living in New Zealand. She was born twin girls, so I sent her handmade baby clothes of twin girls as a baby gift. This flower textile used to be my skirt.

おしゃれな雑貨屋さん@LIFESHOP ATELIER／stylish houseware shop@LIFESHOP ATELIER

イポーに来たら外せないおしゃれな雑貨屋さん。今回はリネン製のズボンを買ってもらいました。今回は行けなかったけど、旧市街には系列店舗の素敵なカフェもあります。

There is a stylish houseware shop, LIFESHOP ATELIER, in Ipoh. We visited here this time too. I got a lovely pants made with ivy linen. They manage a fabulous cafe shop, Evryday LIFESHOP, in the old town area of Ipoh, even though we didn`t go there.

LIFESHOP ATELIERがトータルプロデュースをしているM Boutique Hotelへ。アンティーク調の店内に可愛い雑貨屋や家具が並んでました。

After that, we visited M Boutique Hotel created by LIFESHOP ATELIER. There was a lovely collections of houseware and furniture.

ホテル併設のオールドタウンコーヒーも内装が豪華。

手作りままごとキッチン／DIY play kitchen

娘の1歳の誕生日プレゼントにままごとキッチンをDIYしました。流し付きのキッチン台は白色のペンキで塗った簀の子とカラーボックスを使いました。ままごと遊びに興奮のあまり娘が初めて歩き、感慨深い瞬間になりました。

This is a DIY play kitchen for my daughter`s 1st birthday present. Dresser with sink is made of duckboards and bookshelves painted with white color. She was so exited to play it, and finally took her first steps. That`s a special moment for me. 

ハンドメイド／handmade sewing crafts

最近ミシンで作ったもの。大小の巾着袋と数字の１。

These are my handmade sewing crafts. Drawstrings of two sizes and an object of number "1".

自宅でミシンを始めました。娘の寝ている間に少しづつ作業しています。

Recently I have just started to use the sewing machine at home. I am doing step by step while my daughter is sleeping.

チャイナドレス／baby china dress

テスコでベビー用のチャイナドレスが70％OFFだったので、思わず購入。来るチャイニーズニューイヤーで着せようと思います。

I bought the baby china dress at Tesco hypermarket. It was an impulse buy, since it was only RM15, sold at 70% discount.  I will put it on my daughter during the coming Chinese New Year.
