最後の投稿／the last post

今月日本に本帰国するためこれが最後の投稿になります。ブログはしばらく残しておきます。4年間読んで頂きありがとうございました。

This will be the last post because my family moves back to Japan in the end of this month. I will keep this blog open for a while. Thank you very much for reading so far.

ユナイテッドバディーベア／United Buddy Bears in Penang

平和大使のユナイテッドバディーベアがエスプラネード広場に10月末まで展示されています。

Around 140 United Buddy Bears are setup in Penang Esplanade until October 2016

それぞれデザインが異なるのは国ごとに芸術家が描いているため。

Each Buddy Bears shows the individual design created by different artists.

ジョージタウンの旧日本人街／Lebuh Cintra

ジョージタウンの旧日本人街（シントラ通り）へちょっとお買い物。

Lebuh Cintra of Georgetown in Penang was used to be a little Japantown. I visited there to buy some food.

まずは伍記餅家でお饅頭を購入。

Firstly I went to Ng Kee Cake Shop which is known as Biscuit and Mooncake shop.

オススメはココナッツ入り饅頭。皮がしっとり半生で美味しい。

I recommend coconuts cakes.

200mほど歩いてお茶屋の茶水郷へ。

After a few minutes by foot, I arrived at Tea home trading shop.

ここで花茶を買いました。

I bought two sets of blooming flower tea.

秋の風物詩／special feature of autumn

街中に月餅やランタンが並び始めると、中秋の名月が近づいてきていることを実感します。日本のように四季のないペナンですが、年間行事で季節を感じられます。

Recently I see moon cakes and lanterns displayed in the shop. That reminds me that harvest moon of September is coming right now. There is no seasons here in Penang, but I can feel the season by annual events.

ご報告／announcement

新しい命を授かりました。間もなく妊娠5ヶ月になり、母子ともに順調です。ブログも少しづつ更新していこうと思います。

I have a announcement. It`s my happiness to let you know I`m expecting a baby. I`m about five months pregnant and we are doing well. I`m going to update my blog slowly.

コタキナバルへ家族旅行／Family trip to Kota Kinabalu during Hari Raya holidays

Selamat Hari Raya!

スラマットハリラヤ（断食明けおめでとう）！

ハリラヤ休暇中、コタキナバルへ家族旅行に行ってきました。

Our family went on a trip to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia during Hari Raya holidays.

泊まったのは5つ星ホテルのシャングリラズタンジュンアルリゾートアンドスパ。

We stayed at a five-star luxury resort, Shangdi-La`s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa.

夫と娘は日焼け止めの効果もなくプール遊びでこんがり。

My husband and daughter got a suntan though they put on the sunblock.

結局、観光にも行かずホテルだけでのんびり過ごしました。

We did not go out for sightseeing, but only spent time in the hotel. This hotel was good for relaxation.

チェンマイ発のカラフル食器／colorful tableware from Chiang Mai

タイのチェンマイ発の雑貨ブランド『ジンジャー』をガーニープラザのパークソンで発見。食器以外にもクッションやバッグ等もありました。これまではタイに行った時にしか買えなかったけれど、これからはペナンでも入手できますね。

GINGER is an Asia-Scandinavian lifestyle brand from Chiang Mai, Thailand. And no products available so far in Malaysia. However, I found them at Parkson department store at Gurney Plaza, in Penang! There are colorful tableware, cushions, and bags etc...These items are available even in Penang from now on.

四角豆／winged bean

四角豆は主に東南アジアで栽培されていて、ほぼ丸ごと食べられます。実の断面が四角形なのでこの名前がついたそうです。

Winged bean grows widely in Southeast Asia. Almost all parts of this are edible.

お手伝いがしたい娘(2歳1ヶ月)は炒め物担当。

My daughter(25 months old) always wants to help me while I am cooking. She is good at frying.

四角豆と蓮根のサンバル炒め。四角豆のサクサクとした食感が好きです。

　fried winged bean and lotus with sambal. I like crispy texture of this vegetable.

ドリアン 2016／durian season 2016

今年も嬉しい季節がやってきました。

My favorite season is just coming!

すぐ売れるので、裏の農園と屋台を行ったり来たりで大忙し。

He was busy with coming and going between stall and durian farm.

ペナンヒル39へ登山／hiking to Penang Hill 39

幼稚園のお迎えまでの時間を使って、シニアのお友達とペナンヒル39を登っています。日本にいた時にもよく登山をしていたので、ペナンでまたできるようになって嬉しい限り。入り口は何箇所もあるみたいですが、私たちはWaterfall Templeの近くから入山します。

Sometimes I go hiking to Penang Hill 39 with my senior friends until I pick up my daughter at nursery school. Actually I would often go hiking when I was in Japan, so I am glad to start again. It seems that there are several starting points to the way to Penang Hill, our group always use the entrance near by parking area next to Waterfall Temple.

登山中、様々な動植物に会えます。

We meet a lot of plants and animals during the hike.

ここは5番休憩所。入山してからゆっくりペースで約１時間。

Here is No.5 rest area. One hour after leaving starting point at a slow pace.

中国茶の無料サービス。
Someone provide hot Chinese tea for free.

さらに30分進むと、

Once walking further in more 30 minutes,

39番休憩所に着きます。

we arrive at No.39 rest area.

39番からの眺め。ペナン州立モスクが眼下に見えます。

This is a view from No.39. We see Masjid Negri below our eyes.

下山後はボタニカルガーデン近くのフルーツジュースバーへ。

After climbing down, we always drop by the Tropical Fruit Juice bar nearby Botanical Garden.

ご褒美のマンゴスムージー（ナタデココとカットフルーツ入り）。絶句の美味しさ。
Smoothie mango nata de coco with mix fruits. Beyond description.

エコパーク＠ブキッメラレイクリゾート／Ecopark@Bukit Merah Laketown Resort

先日、オランウータンに会いにブキッメラレイクタウンへ行ったものの、オランウータン島へ渡る湖の水位が低く、船が出ず。

My family went to Bukit Merah Laketown Resort to see sanctuary orangutans, but unfortunately the ferry to take us to orangutan island did not leave because the water level of the lake was lower than usual.

気を取り直して、小動物と間近に触れ合えるエコパークに徒歩移動。餌を買っていざ園内へ。

We pulled ourselves together and moved by walking to Ecopark where visitors get to experience close encounter with the animals. And then we bought a animal food combo and got into there.
