風船／balloon

風船を膨らませようとヘリウムガス缶を探していたけど、どこにも売っていなかった。どうやらマレーシアではバルーン専門店やパーティーグッズショップで風船を買うと、もれなくお店のボンベで膨らませてもらえる仕組みのようです。だから売ってないのです。また一つ異文化を学びました。

I have been looking for a helium gas can to inflate my balloons, but I have not found it anywhere. In Malaysia, when you buy no-air balloons at balloon shop or party supply shop, they may inflate them by their helium gas cylinder. That`s why no gas can is available in Malaysia. I learned a different culture through this experience.

レインガーデン＠プラウティクス／Rain Garden Restaurant,Bar,Coffee@Pulau Tikus

重機／construction equipment

ペナンの工事現場で日本の中古重機を見かけると、つい応援したくなる。

I cannot help expressing support for them whenever I see the used construction equipments of Japan at construction site in Penang.

幼稚園／nursery school

1歳11ヶ月になった娘は小さなリュックを背負って幼稚園に通い始めました。登園初日、アンパンマンをぎゅっと握りしめ、今にも泣きそうな娘を先生に預けました。お迎えに行くと笑顔で遊んでいたので一安心。

My daughter turned 23 months old and then started to go to a nursery school carrying a tiny backpack on her back. I remember well when I left her with the nursery teacher on the first day, she was about to cry clutching her toy Anpanman. However, I was relieved to see her big smile when I picked her up.
