Noor & Dean`s Kafe

セシルマーケットの帰り道、Noor & Dean`s Kafeでティータイム。

ここはブティックホテルも併設されており、いつか泊まってみたいな。

On my way home after Cecil street wet market, I took a tea break at Noor & Dean`s Kafe.

There is a small boutique hotel(Noordin Street House) combined with the Kafe. I want to stay here someday.

アサリ／short-necked clam

新鮮なアサリを求めてバスでセシルマーケットへ行ってきました。

I went to Cecil street wet market in order to buy fresh short-necked clams by bus.

まだ生きてる！

1kgのアサリを約300円で購入。

Still alive!

I bought 1 kilogram of them for RM10.

アサリと野菜のワイン蒸しにしました。

I cooked wine-steamed clams with vegetables.

鯵／horse mackerel

鯵の南蛮漬けを作りました。

I cooked marinated deep-fried small horse mackerel.

テスコの鯵は6匹で160円位でした。

I bought 6 horse mackerels for RM5 at Tesco hypermarket.

ベトナム料理@Vietnam Que Huong Toi／Vietnam lunch@Vietnam Que Huong Toi

珍しくベトナム料理でランチをしました。フォーと生春巻き、ベトナムコーヒーで13RM。安くて美味しいけど、私にはヘルシー過ぎて2、3時間後にはお腹が減りました。

I had Vietnam cuisine for lunch at Vietnam Que Huong Toi in Penang. I ordered Pho Bo(Vietnam beef noodle soup), one piece of fresh spring roll and Vietnamese coffee(only RM13 in all). I got hungry a few hours after eating them because they were cheap and nice but very healthy.

突発性発疹／roseola

1歳2ヶ月の娘がついに突発性発疹にかかりました。5日間の高熱や下痢、食欲不振に苦しみ、下熱と共に今は体中に赤い発疹が出ています。全快まであと少し。がんばろう。

My daughter turned 14 months old. She was affected with roseola one week ago and suffered from high fever up to 40℃, diarrhea and less appetite for five days. Now high fever ends up and at the same time red flat rash starts to spread to body, neck, face, arms, and legs. I think it will be soon before she gets well. I`ll do my best to follow up her!

アクアパッツァ／acqua pazza

丸ごと売っている魚が苦手で、今まで敬遠していたテスコの魚コーナー。

I have seldom bought fresh fishes at Tesco hypermarket because I don`t like the whole fishes.

初めてスズキを丸ごと１匹を買って、アクアパッツァを作りました。思っていたより美味しくてびっくり！お願いすれば、魚コーナーのスタッフが鮮度の良い魚を選んでくれたり下処理もしてくれるので、また利用しようと思います。

I bought one whole sea bass for the first time and cooked Italian cousine "acqua pazza". The fish meat was more awesome than I expected. If you ask fish dealer to choose the fresh one or clean it, they surely do it. I`ll buy there again.

ドリアンシーズン／best season for durian

待ちに待ったドリアンシーズン到来！6月に入って既に5回は食べているもののまだ足りない。すっかりドリアン中毒です。

Durian season finally came. I ate it even five times during this month, but I don`t feel enough. Abusolutely I`m durian holic.

胡麻照り焼き丼／bowl of rice with sesame teriyaki chicken

今夜は夫の好きな胡麻照り焼き丼にしました。すっかり忘れていたけど、今日は父の日だったのでちょうどよかった。

Today I cooked five different Japanese foods for dinner. Main dish was a bolw of rice with sesame teriyaki chicken, which was one of my husband`s favorite. Today was Farther`s Day, although I completely forgot about it, that turned out well.

リキシャ観光@ジョージタウン／rickshaw ride tour around Georgetown

義両親がペナンに遊びに来てくれたので、ジョージタウンをリキシャで観光しました。

We enjoyed rickshaw ride tour around Georgetown with my parent-in-low from Japan.

この4つの壁画は初めて見た。

　These street arts are what I`ve never seen.

双子の出産祝い／baby gift for twin girls

ニュージーランドで女の子の双子を出産した友達に手作りのベビー服を贈りました。花柄の生地は履かなくなったスカートをリメイク。

One of my old friends is living in New Zealand. She was born twin girls, so I sent her handmade baby clothes of twin girls as a baby gift. This flower textile used to be my skirt.
