美味しいフランスパン@The Baking Garage／French bread@The Baking Garage

フランスパンの美味しいパン屋さん（The Baking Garage）がタンジュンブンガにあります。バタールやクープ、ブールといった色んなフランスパンがあって、外はパリパリで中はもちもち。昼間はホテルやカフェに配送しているそうで、夕方からの営業です。

There is a strongly recommend bakery located at Tanjung Bungah, Penang. They bake fresh variety kinds of French bread such as batard, coupe, and boule. These bread are crunchy crust and slightly chewy center. It`s worth visiting there. They are open 5pm-9pm, closed on Friday.

車の下の猫を見ようとしゃがみこむ娘。

Daughter is squatting down in order to see a cat under the car.

小トトロを追いかけて軒下を覗き込むメイと同じポーズ。

That reminds me of Mei of Totoro. She is also squatting down to see small Totoro under the house.

グリーンカレー／spicy green curry

タイ人の友達がくれたグリーンカレーペーストを使って簡単クッキング。15分で完成。

I cooked Thai Green curry with the paste my Thai friend gave me before. Easy cooking, just 15 minutes to finish.

想像以上に辛くて、汗が止まらない！

However, it`s much more spicy than I expected. Can`t stop sweating!

おしゃれな雑貨屋さん@LIFESHOP ATELIER／stylish houseware shop@LIFESHOP ATELIER

イポーに来たら外せないおしゃれな雑貨屋さん。今回はリネン製のズボンを買ってもらいました。今回は行けなかったけど、旧市街には系列店舗の素敵なカフェもあります。

There is a stylish houseware shop, LIFESHOP ATELIER, in Ipoh. We visited here this time too. I got a lovely pants made with ivy linen. They manage a fabulous cafe shop, Evryday LIFESHOP, in the old town area of Ipoh, even though we didn`t go there.

LIFESHOP ATELIERがトータルプロデュースをしているM Boutique Hotelへ。アンティーク調の店内に可愛い雑貨屋や家具が並んでました。

After that, we visited M Boutique Hotel created by LIFESHOP ATELIER. There was a lovely collections of houseware and furniture.

ホテル併設のオールドタウンコーヒーも内装が豪華。

日帰りイポー旅行／day trip to Ipoh

ペナンから高速で2時間。マレーシア第三の都市イポーへ日帰り旅行。

We went on a day trip to the biggest city, Ipoh, Malaysia. It took two hours by highway from Penang.

チキンライスの老舗レストラン老黄は相変わらず大繁盛。席を見つけるのも一苦労（前回の記事→☆）

When we arrived at the famous restaurant Lou Wong, there were already full of people. So we were waiting for seats for a while.

ハイハイ卒業／no more crawling

1歳1ヶ月になった娘。歩くときのバランスの取り方を覚えてから、もうハイハイしなくなった。今では鳩を追いかけ回すほど歩けるように。

My daughter turns 13 months old. She does not crawl any more, since she learns to keep balance while walking. Now she can walk around as well as she chases pigeons.

カオソーイ＠Thai Me Up／Khao Soi@Thai Me Up

ずっと食べてみたかったタイ北部チェンマイの名物・カオソーイ。ペナンで食べられると知って食べてきました。こしのある平麺がスパイシーなココナッツカレーとマッチしていて、とても美味しかったです。トムヤムヌードルやビーフフードルも美味しかった。

I have long wanted to eat Khao Soi, that is famous noodle in Chiang Mai of Northern Thailand, but never met in Penang. However, finally I had the opportunity to try it here in Penang! The noodle was very chewy and thin. It went well with spicy coconut curry soup. Yummy! Both Tom Yam noodle and Beef noodle were also nice.
