ロゴスホープ号／floating book fair, Logos Hope

ペナンに寄港中のロゴスホープ号のブックフェアへ行ってきました。

I went to the floating book fair, Logos Hope, which has dropped anchor in Penang.

お手頃価格の本が5000種類以上も揃っていました。

There were a selection of over 5,000 titles at affordable prices.

 特に絵本コーナーはどれも欲しくなるようなラインナップで選ぶのに一苦労。娘は真剣に立ち読みならぬ座り読み。

I had a hard time to choose some books I really wanted to buy because every books for baby & kid attracted me. My daughter was browsing books in earnest.

船内カフェで買った塩味ポップコーンがやたら美味しかった。

There was a cafeteria inside Logos Hopes. Its salty popcorn was really nice!

ヘイズ／Haze

ここ2〜3週間、マレーシアは酷いヘイズ（インドネシアの焼畑農業による煙害）で空が真っ白。雨が降ってもさらに悪化の一途。ヘイズが原因で1歳5ヶ月の娘は喉の炎症にかかりました。一刻も早く収まって欲しいものです。

For the past few weeks,  Malaysia has been hit by terrible haze, due to the open fire of oil palm estates in Indonesia. Although it rained for few times, the haze has got even worse. Furthermore the terrible haze caused sore throat to my daughter, 17 months old. I really want it to end as quickly as possible.

ペナン水族館／Penang Arqurium

ペナン唯一の小さな水族館へ行きました。

I went to the Penang Arquarium, where was the only small spot in Penang.

入場料は大人5RM

Ticket price(Adult)-5RM 

大きな水槽内には食卓に並ぶものから観賞用の魚や植物まで、マレーシアの多様な生態系が生息していました。

This huge tank has commercial species, ornamental fishes and aquatic plants. It displays great biological diversity in Malaysia. 

魚や亀に餌をあげられます。

Visitors can feed turtles and fishes.

餌を奪い合う衝撃で水しぶきが発生。亀がこんなに荒々しい生物だったとは。

Turtles are making a splash in water as they are scrambling for food.

積み上げ遊び／piling up tower

  リングを積み上げ中

My daughter is playing with tower piling rings.

リングの次はクレヨンでより高く積み上げ中

She is trying to pile up the tower higher with crayons.

完成。よくできました。

タイピン動物園／Zoo Thaiping & Night Safari

ペナンから車で１時間半のタイピン動物園へ行ってきました。

I visited Zoo Thaiping & Night Safari with my family. It took one hour and a half from Penang island by car.

柵が低くて驚いた。マレーシアでは普通なんだろうか。

I was so surprised to see the lower zoo fence ever. Is this Malaysian standard?

帰りはペナン第2ブリッジを通過。ガラガラ。せっかく作ったのに、これは赤字だろうな。

We returned home passing over Second Penang Bridge. EMPTY!  It must be in the red...
